QL Stats ("Quake Logfile Statistics", though spoken "Kewl Stats") is a program that can analyze the logfiles the first person shooter Quake 3 Arena produces. From those logfiles QL Stats generates webpages that can be browsed by the user to look at some (interesting?) statistics. It is (or at least some day it should be) comparable with what ngStats did for the game "Unreal Tournament".
Well, it has all the basic stats you can expect from a stats-tool, including nice, nifty, little score-graphs. But the real, real cool features are yet to come, so stay tuned ;-) The best you can expect right now are some "Oh look, i killed [that other guy] with [that other weapon] 42 times. Yay!" kind-of-statistics. But stay in tune, as QL Stats is still under heavy (well, from time to time ;) ) development. Additionally to normal Quake 3 Arena logfiles, the program also processes the logfiles of the famous CPMA mod.
You can grab the latest version of the program here:
Be aware that in order to run the program you'll need a Python interpreter on your system. If you don't
already have one installed you can grab it from www.python.org. Also
you might want to install the "Python Image Library" from
www.pythonware.com/products/pil/ so QL Stats can
produce those really ubercool score-graphs ;-)
In case you'd like to know more, maybe you should check out
the official project page to get in touch with
the good-looking developer (that would me be) of this amazing project! :)
Well, for the upcomming releases you can expect the following terrificly ubercool features:
Please be aware that by "you can expect" I actually mean "I might implement it if my history of not-getting-laid drags on". ;-)
